Yizumi & HPM Double Brand Strategy is Released at New Product Launch Event

At the venue for the 10th China International Die Casting Congress & Exhibition on July 8, Yizumi held a new product launch presentation themed with “Innovation drives quality” in which the speakers not only talked about the stories behind the upgraded products, but also announced that HPM, an over century-old US die casting machine brand, officially entered the Chinese market. In the future, Yizumi and HPM would work on mass-market die casting machines and high-end die casting machines respectively to further strengthen their influence on markets.

The optimization of products and technology, as well as the promotion of double brands—Yizumi and HPM embody Yizumi’s determination to become a world-class enterprise.

The heads of products introduced their new products one by one at the event.

H Series Die Casting Machine that embodies Yizumi’s ten-year die casting machine technology is definitely a “blockbuster product” of the year. The dry cycle time is over 15% shorter and the oil temperature is 6℃ lower than that of DM standard series machine in the case of 6-hour continuous operation. Technical Engineer Zhang Hongpeng said: "Based on DM series machine and the design concept and process standard of North American HPM die casting machines, H series die casting machine is superior to DM series in terms of production efficiency, functional configuration, safety and operational experience, etc. It can rival European and American counterparts.” Yizumi is confident in H series and sees it as a key product, even the star of die casting industry in the next decade.

Another new product—HPM thixomolding machine—also has attracted great attention. This machine can make magnesium alloy chips, the raw materials, into thixomolded products in an easy and green way without a furnace, a conveying system and SF6 protective gas. In addition, the machine is more competitive than Japanese counterparts with regard to costs.

In fact, Yizumi developed China's first thixomolding machine as early as 2009 and has been focusing on technical upgrades since then. Yizumi also resumed HPM’s promotion of thixomolding technology in 2013. “The second-generation thixomolding machine has been improved a lot. For example, the patented technology used for high-speed mold opening and closing has been proven by hundreds of cases, which is very reliable. We also make breakthrough in high-speed injection technology,” Manager of Thixomolding Machine Project Sui Tiejun said, “A small volume of thixomolding machines will be introduced to the market this year. Next year we’ll increase the investment of resources so that a large quantity of machines can enter the market. ”

Because of the focus on machinery industry, Yizumi found the possibility of further creating value for customers. In 2014, Yizumi set up robotic automation project to provide custom-made robotic automation systems to customers and meet the needs of multi-level, multi-function, automated and intelligent production. At CHINA DIECASTING 2015, Yizumi showed a robotic spraying system which has innovative electrostatic spraying technology and a robotic deburring system for multi-surface, multi-angle and high-efficiency deburring.

Robotic Automation Project Director Dou Feng said, Yizumi purchased robotic equipment from well-known manufacturers like ABB, FANUC and KUKA, developed integrated systems for specific applications and provided complete automated production solutions according to customers’ production technologies and processes. Yizumi’s customers now include dozens of industry-leading companies and well-known manufacturers such as CFU, Guangdong Hongtu Technology (Holdings)Co., Ltd. and Chongqing Refine-Yumei Die Casting Co., Ltd. Dou Feng said, Yizumi aimed to sell 150 units of robotic systems and planned to supply robotic automation solutions for plastic and rubber injection molding machines.

In addition to continued upgrade and diversification of products, this year Yizumi’s brand development also comes to a pivotal point: US die casting machine brand HPM arriving in the Chinese market.

After the acquisition of HPM’s intellectual property in 2011, Yizumi first resumed HPM’s after-sales service, technical support, R&D and limited manufacturing activities for die casting and injection molding industries in North America. On the other hand, Yizumi combed through HPM’s standards for design, process and quality. To completely master HPM’s machine technology, Yizumi even sent main engineers to North America and work there in turn. Now much of HPM technology, such as the overall rigid design and clamping detection has been applied to Yizumi’s machines. Yizumi’s die casting machines have been systematically improved.

After resuming operations in North American market and learning HPM’s technology, it is time to enter the Chinese market. HPM Project Manager Zhang Dunji said Yizumi had developed a long-term strategy; Yizumi would not only promote HPM machines for domestic high-end customers step by step, but also   completely introduce North American quality standards and technical standards so that the products would be of higher quality and competitive with European top brands. In the future, Yizumi would find its place in the high-end market while meeting the demands of the mass market.
